Meet Sami Jo DeForest
Sami Jo DeForest grew up on the Central Coast of California in the small town of Paso Robles. Her childhood was immersed in horses and revolved around all things Rodeo. She climbed the ranks from Junior Rodeo, High School Rodeo then onto College Rodeo where she simultaneously studied Agriculture, as well as coaching. In 2009, she acquired her Women’s Professional Rodeo Association card and has since been a regular California Circuit Rodeo Barrel Racer, qualifying multiple times for the California Circuit Finals. She has dedicated more than 15 years to teaching Youth Rodeo events to kids ranging from 4 years old through College competitors. She takes pride in offering a large string of safe, well-trained lesson horses available to teach young competitors from first time riders to avid rodeo athletes.
