Meet Kay Cochran
Kay Cochran grew up in Northern California and got into horses under her mother’s influence. She started with 4-H when she was young then moved on to California High School Rodeo and from there into college rodeo. She rodeoed for Oklahoma Panhandle State University and graduated with a Business Administration degree in 2017. Since graduating, Kay has focused on barrel racing and training barrel horses professionally. She specializes in training, patterning, and seasoning horses for futurities, aged events, and rodeos. Her program is based on training for the individual horses and their owner’s needs. Kay’s accomplishments include pro rodeo wins, qualifying for the American semi finals, and multiple futurity and derby wins. Kay enjoys attending races all over northern CA to season young horses. She also attends aged events that include traveling all over the western United States.
